transfercase help

transfercase help

I Have a 71 F100 4x4 highboy,with all stock running gear, what transfercase should it be? All I have is 2 wheel and 4 wheel no high or low it's eather in 4 wheeldrive or 2 wheeldrive.
Does anyone know witch case this is or am I just dumb and not working it right.

More than likely you have a dana 24----just one range---but its' supposed to be a fairly tough xfercase, from what I have read----fd

Is there more than one Dana 24? My 24 has 2 hi/lo and 4 hi/lo. I'm curious, is there a singlr range 24?

I thought the d24 was a single speed xfer case---but obviously it is a 2 speed case----there is a also dana 20 but i'm not sure if it is a single speed case ---maybe i should quit guessing and let somebody answer who is learned in the ways of xfer cases!!!fd

I wasn't trying to show you up, i was asking because I have limited knowledge of transfer cases myself
