Over the weekend I decided that it was time to get the front of my truck level with the rear. I took the old Rancho add a leaves that I had used years earlier with the stock springs and put them in my 4" Superlift springs in hopes to get the truck to level out (the rear was about 2" higher than the front). Well while I had the springs out I decided it would be a good idea to put some of those plastic discs at the ends of each leaf to get ride of the moaning and groaning I often hear from the springs.
After getting everything back together all I can say is WOW, the truck actually rides BETTER, even with the extra leaf. The pain of drilling holes in all of those leaves was well worth the effort. The pads got rid of a ton of friction that was in the Superlift spring packs, so even with the extra leaf the ride ended up being better.
The discs were less than 30 cents a piece, took quite a bit of time to drill through spring steel but i couldn't be happier.
BTW the front came up 1 1/4" (close enough for me)
