I have a 95 F250, standard cab, long bed. I assume I have the E4OD transmission (the truck is new to me and I haven't figured that out yet).
Mostly when the truck is warm, when I shift from park to reverse it really slams into gear. It does that in drive too but not nearly as often and not as hard. The previous owner has had the tranny looked over from top to bottom and nothing was found to be wrong. But obviously there is something wrong, he just missed it.
I am hoping this is a problem people are familar with and I can get some information.
i dont have an answer for you joe . . . im chiming in as well with a slight jump noticed in my 94 supercab e40d auto. curious to see what answers you get
the caosue to the problem is in the valve body. there is an o-ring that swells up under the heat. add a bottle of lucas stopslip to the tranny on top of the fluid. this will help slicken everything up. if not you will need a shift kit. i had that problem until i went wild with my 95. kenny
