sure it can be done.. but it would be a lot of work, you would need a complete donor truck to get the wiring harness and all compoents with. I saw your post on it in the pre-powerstroke forum, and you might want to try to work with what you have before haning it up, as you have a good base to work with, already turbo'd and all. While it isn't just throw a chip at it and move on, it isn't that hard to get more power out of the IDI motors either. The fuel screw is pretty easy to get to, the exhaust needs to be larger, the intake needs opened up, all the same things you would do to the powerstroke anyway, just cheaper than buying the chip as well. Talk to Dave Sponaugle in the pre-powerstroke forum to find out just how much you can get out of these motors... he is licensed for 20,000 and lives in the mountains of West Virginia...
