My 72 F250 has some serious wind noise from the vent windows. Does everyone have this? I have tried to adjust the weatherstrip to seal the window better but to no avail. Any suggestions as to where I can find some good reproductions? Also, what can be done about the rivets once they are drilled out? They look like a specialty rivet that looks difficult to duplicate. Any ideas?
another great repro place is "dennis-carpenter.com"... this place has a LOT of the original FORD tooling and can reproduce to exact spec a lot of original equipment. a little more expensive than lmctruck, but a little more variety on parts. good luck

Me too! The PO had sealed the vent windows with RTV and they were quiet. I replaced the rotted, dryed up gaskets and the division bar. Windows open, look nice and are really quiet.

Sounds like a plan. I am completely annoyed by the whistling and am ready to spend all sorts of money--(well maybe not too much) to get rid of it! Thanks for the suggestions. I will check out Ell Emm See truck for sure! -Matt
I meant to ask again if anyone had experience with replacing the rivets on these vent windows. Anyone? They seem like specialty rivets and I'm concerned about getting the right ones so that they perform properly. Suggestions?
Buy the division bar, whiskers and window felts as a set from this site. Buy the vent window gaskets from this site. About 4 hours per door, a little elbow grease and all will be as new. I also replace the window roller and lube the winder mechanisim. Well actually I go nuts and replace the door weather seal, handles, inner door trim and too much else. I also use heavy plastic to seal off the door axcess panels and plumbers caulk to seal the inner door handles and window winder handles. Yeah! I know! I hear it every day!
