No one makes the (correct) rear cab corners for the 48-52...so I cut some dies and make oy own.
Looking deeper into the project, No one makes door bottom patch panels...
Guess what I'm making........

You would save the day! I currently have two front doors with this problem.

Would your patch panel be able to fix this problem? I guess what I'm asking is will it be "u" shaped like the door bottom and include a portion of the door skin and door shell?

Put me down for two when you're done.

Hi Ilya
Yes, this is exactly for this cancer, (and for the whole bottom pan and up the latch side too!
I've got a mock-up of the inner door wall, bottom pan and flange done
This goes up to the first bend on the interior panel.
The outer door skin is just a sheet with a flange bent in it. You crimp the door skin flange around the pan flange.
I won't need to do the exterior skin with the flange, cause they are available at auto body shops.
It's the bottom and interior that we need.
I'll post a photo of the "crude mock-up" tomorrow.
Right now it's off to get some steel for the dies.

I guess the door skin won't be that hard to patch up with a flat piece of sheet metal. Can't wait to see your mock up.

Seeing as how you are so handy with all the fabrication skils, why don't you make some front fender front patch panels for both upper and lower fenders. no body is making them now.

Ah yes, the list grows on....
I will have to make fender patches for my F-5 too. That's later, doors first. EMS has a LIMITED, unlisted supply of F-4 to F-6 upper fender patch panels. Got them for me.
They destroyed the dies years ago for these....No intrest they said!
