I wonder whatever happend to that flat black one that used to be parked on the south side of 11 st. 66 you must have seen it there in your travels . It looked quite rust though.
the only black one I recall was where a guy chopped the back roof off a dodge mini van and made into a truck. Ugly. Years ago a guy had a truck parked near ave P for sale. It needed a lot of work and he was asking nearly 3000 for it. It was a basket case.
There is an Orange one across from Kramer Tractor on 11th st. It has a lot of bondo on it. It is not for sale and is a 5 window. Years a go it was for sale on ave H and the guy wanted $5000 for it. I did not like all the bondo on it. I think the guy who owns it now owns a tranny shop on 22nd street.
Now you maybe meaning an merc truck on 11th st east, which I do not travel down much. I go down 11th st west all the time.
It was not cheap. He was asking around 3000 and it needed a lot of work. It had poor bodyshop work over damaged areas around one of the door pillars and the floor of the box was full of holes from rust. The interior was carpeted over rustholes and looked pretty bad. If it was cheap it would of been bought rightaway. At the price he had it sat there for a few months. Eventually it must of sold. The guy live somewhere else in the city and parked it there with a for sale sign. He was using the empty lot as his own personel sales lot. Where he lived there was no traffic to see it and he was too cheap to advertise it in the paper. Some people, sheesh.
There was a nice Econoline (p/u?) at Super Run last year with the motor in the rear. I am not sure what motor, possibly a 390 with twin turbos. Maybe Laynnrubber or lockups can enlighten us on it.
That truck was from Regina. I saw the names and they were some brothers that did that truck. It still had alot of work to be done. I did not like how they chopped and lowered the roof. I cannot remember the name on the truck. I was told that you can buy a kit for doing that motor and rad that way from the Econoline and ranchero thread here.
