Unhappy Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!

Been having trouble with the truck. Get one thing fixed and on to another. Well, actually only one was actually the truck. Starting to sound like a GM owner here.
Last week I changed out the fuel filter as a precautionary thing. Unfortunately, in doing so, I unknowingly shorted out the fuel filter bowl heater. This blew one of the maxi fuses and then the PCM didn't get power. No Go. I first thought it was the CPS (Crank position sensor) so I changed it. Nope. I was planning to change that anyway. Again precautionary. Still nothing. This is when I checked out the fuses. Found a fuse blown and swapped it. As soon as I did, it blew again. Now I knew there was a short. Posted on the diesel forum and that same evening found the answer listed above. Unfortunately, I had to wait to the next day to get a fuse. All is good now..... with the truck itself.
I got a brake controller for my trailer and got it all hooked up. then went to wire in the connector and check the trailer. Let's just say that the ground seems to work. Not much else. Updates to come. I'm supposed to be using it not this coming weekend, but next weekend so time is short. Apparently so is the electrical system.

I had some engine problems with my 89 F350 7.3 because of a previous owner`s choice of mechanics, decided to sell it and now I miss it alot. After selling it I found a reasonable priced 7.3 motor at Amigos!

Trialer wiring will make you crazy. In my experience the ground is the most important link. Alot of times it looks good but it is not. Good luck!

There was one there last year for $1,800, not perfect but usable.

1800 is pretty cheap. My dad bought a "rebuilt" 7.3 from them a few years ago for 4 grand. The motor was garbage, had zero power and blew up after two years! Rebuilt motor my ***!
