Thumbs up

Check some of my previous posts... I got the edge evolution, and love it... What a difference... 2002 X 7.3

I've got the SCT X-Cal 2 running the 80hp tune and LOVE IT! From what I've seen, read, heard, and felt, it's the best tuner out there for a Ford Diesel. You should checkout the Diesel Tuner Shootout they did not too long ago on their website. As a result and talking to the guys over at Discount Power Parts (Larry and Patrick, FTE Sponsors) I now own one....

I normally run mine on the 80hp "Performance" tune since I do alot of freeway driving. With the tuner, an AFE Stage I PROguard 7 intake, and a 4in. straight piped MBRP system, I normally see 17-17.8 around town, 20-21mpg on a long freeway trip, and 18.5-19.4mpg combined. This comes from doing 45-50mph in town and 65-70mph on the freeway. If you spend more time around town than you do the freeway, the "tow" or 60hp tune will work better for you.

Like I said before, I got mine from Larry at Patrick at Discount Power Parts, you can check out their website in the lower left hand corner. They took me to school on my truck, honestly explained power options, and gave me the best out there. To me, they have unmatched customer service and prices. They're like a brother that's always there for you, all you have to do is call Larry at 724-462-3669 or Patrick at 724-272-1539. They'll answer any questions you have about your truck, set you straight on any diesel myths, and get you the best. Hope this helps. Take Care.

BTW-What kind of truck do you have? (i.e. model year, engine, drivetrain, etc.)

DieselSindicate,

Your signature didn't say what engine you had but the Edge Evo's for either the 7.3 or the 6.0 are hard to beat. We sell more of them than any other brand combined etc. Call us if you have any questions and we'll be glad to help you.

for PSD I would think Edge for diesel, or the Banks PDA. For the v10 Hypertech is a good choice.

Thanks for the input, I just bought a 2002 2wd Diesel Excursion 2 days ago. I just got the EDge Evolution yesterday and I have to say it it well worth it. I ordered Hellwig sway bars and I am looking to get an intake and exhaust. There are so many things that I want to do I have to pace myself.
