Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and hope that you guys can help me out with my 2002 F350 Diesel 6spd. Every morning when I start my truck, it succesfully starts but the oil pressure gauge doesn't go up and after about 5 seconds the car shuts off. I have to crank the car again and press the gas all the way down and sometimes the pressure goes up and sometimes it doesn't. Eventually the pressure will stabilize after sometime. This problem only accurs in the morning and after sitting for more than couple hours. Every morning I have to unscrew the screw on top of the oil pressure pump and add oil. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

I wouldn't think you cranking your truck would cause your car to shut off. Not to mention pressing the gas pedal down on your car would cause the oil pressure in your truck to rise.
Just having fun. Welcome to FTE. Tell us a little more about your truck. When was the last oil change, filter change, mods, ect. I know someone here will be able to help.
The oil has been changed along with all the filters about a week ago. The truck will drive all day with no problems, only in the morning. I live in Charlotte, NC and the weather down here isn't extreme. Every morning I have to unscrew the screw from the oil pump on top of the engine and fill it up. Then the truck starts no problem. I drive a F350 2002 Turbo Diesel with about 300K miles. If you need anymore info. let me know.
