I have a 1978 F-350, 2WD, 351-M, with a 4 speed (granny 1st) and would like to determine what gearing I have in the rear end. I've looked on the axle housing and could only find casting #s. No tag attached that I could find.
Can anyone advise me as to where to look, or what I need to do to find it?
I'm going to use it as a daily driver and would like to improve the MPG.( suggestions are welcome )The engine has been stroked to a 400 ci, and bored .030, the cam was replaced to give low to mid-range torque. (don't know the specs) and has a new stock 2 barrel carb. Today I received my Magnaflo 50 series 1-in, 2-out, and am currently in the process of building a new flat bed.
I'll post some B-4 & after pics when I'm finished.
Thanks in advance, HoBo
