experiences w/ additive engine restorers

I was at walmart and for the heck of it i looked at some of there diesel additives that i guess you mix with oil or fuel or something. I don't know how any of these work or if they do at all.

I dont know myself. though I'm skeptical anyways. only thing I'll put in my own engines is fuel and oil. the way I figure it, when a motor starts needin stuff like the engine restoring stuff, its probably time to tear it down and pay attention to really worn out parts anyhow.

i use diesel kleen in every tank of fuel, my opinion is that it helps my mileage and engine seems to run smoother and quieter? lots of guys on here use it it also has lubrication benefits too..

Fuel additives are almost a necessity, but I would stay away from oil additives. If your oil needs an additive you need to do an oil change or start using a better quality oil.

Many people use them in every tank, but I use them every 20-30k miles or so just to clean up the injectors and anything else that's in there.

They are not required - you can skip the whole thing if you'd like.
