I am going to install an under bed tank in my 55 F-100 and was wondering if there was a panel out there to cover the hole in the cab where the fuel filler used to be, or do I just fab up my own?
anyway... checked my old (really old) invoice... It's a part # 7709-L. Mine back in the 90's did not have a hole for the filler or an indent where it should be...
Their supplier now presses them with an indent where the filler should be, but she says it's barely there and the patch panel is large (tall?) enough to cover the old filler hold...15½" tall...
uc4me might want to give them a call 800-252-1956... they are ready to take his order
Thanks buddy. Tried to make my own, but with no bag and body hammers (not to mention skill/ability) would not be able to get the right compound-convex shape).
A good way to learn ois to try and try again. On a small piece there`s not much to lose and that`s one good way of learning. Practice till you get it right.
