Ok....Well then I would need a bell housing that will either bolt to a T-98 (mine) OR.....find a transmission suitable for a 16,000gvw truck that will bolt to a 300.
I do know that the 300 was used in certain 60-70's F-600's so I know it can be done.
It does have to be a trans that has the E-brake on the back of the trans to work. I have dual cyl brakes on the back of my truck.
The problem is mostly that most wrecking yards don't hang on to medium duty trucks. they are a little hard to find unless you can find someone that specializes in them....
I know they're out there.....I'll just keep looking...

HT32BSX115, the T-98 should bolt right up to the 300 with the correct bell housing.
T98 is basically the same as a T18.
Just make sure that the bell housing trans opening matches the transmission front bearing retainer diameter.
I think it's either 4.848" or 5.125", depending on the year of the trans; but don't quote me on that figure.
I have been doing a little searching around and I have found that the f-600 as late as 1973 came OEM with the 300 and a 4 or 5 speed trans. I'm guessing the 4 was a T-19 (just like my 86 F-250 had in it?)
Does anyone know the model number of the 5 speed that might have been available in the F-600 and would it have been an OD trans?
There doesn't seem to be a lot of wrecking yards around here in the NW that have medium duty trucks. Evidently the F-600's came with a somewhat heavier duty engine than a 1/2 ton truck.
I'll assume that any transmission that came in an F-600 also had the E-Brake on the trans too.
