vacume lines????

what lines do you need to have to make the engine run i have a million with deadends and want to get rid of them but do not want to lose ones i need it is an 85 f30 with a 460 and emmisions are not done where i live so i want to get rid of all that crap as someone before me started to do but never finished

Rule of thumb:

1) Ported vacuum advance

2) Power brake vacuum

3) PCV vacuum

4) Transmission kick-down vacuum

That's the basics to make a truck run. After that you have all the extra vacuum needs:

5) Auxilliary vacuum (dash vacuum, heater/AC vacuum, etc)

I'd suggest you get a shop manual for your year truck and trace it out. Hook up what you need...the rest simply cap.

thanks it does very much i have miles of lines that go to nowhere one is even pluged with a spark plug so i needed a place to start

I can do two things for you, I can scan the new emission label for my 86 F350 with 460 and I can scan the vacuum diagrams from the electrical and vacuum troubleshooting manual for it if these will help.
