When starting electrical system stops
I have a 1973 F-250 390, when I try starting it, I hear a click and all power is lost, (dome light goes out, radio doesn't work). When I disconnect and reconnect the battery the power is restored but try starting again it does the same. Voltage regulator and solonoid are new. Aftermarket electronic ignition less than a year old.

You have a loose connection. This will be at the battery terminals, at the starter solenoid connection were the battery + is connected, or the other end of the battery negative cable where it connects to the engine block.
There is also the possiblity it's the battery, but the connections are more than likely the culprit.
