Water temperature Guage
Find the sending unit on the engine, turn on the key, ground the sending unit wire to the block. Does the gage move up and peg? If the gage pegs, replace the sending unit. If the gage does not move check continuity in the sender wire, fuses and the voltage limiter on the dash panel behind the gages.

Thanks, A month back I hooked an ohmmeter to the sending unit and noticed the resistance changed as the engine warmed; however, I did your ground trick and the needle pegged, so I'll be getting a new sending unit.
