Check for a Thunderform or Q-Logic box that fits the appropriate vehicle. www.crutchfield.com or eBay are great places to get one, with eBay obviously being the cheaper of the two.

LMI Welding makes a seat lift kit for your truck that allows more clearance to build some enclosures to fit under your seat. CLICK HERE

I had two 12's under the seat for a while. If you need to have two of them, the best way to do it is with a kit similar to the one that is listed above. I changed my box design to only use one and the sound is so much cleaner. My original design was a seperate box for each sub on the outer edge of the cab, then there was an amp rack in the middle, with a peice of covered 3/4 plywood on the top that the seats bolted to. I choose not to use the lift kit on the seats and removed the entire frame. I did the same thing with the new box and just screw the seats into the box itself. Sorry, I don't have any pics of the old one.

Without a seat lift of some kind, you are limited to 12s that hardly can separate themselves from a good 10. Think about going with one 12 and giving it the proper amount of air space. Do not make the mistake of thinking that the difference between two 12s and one is astounding, because it isn't. Especially if you cut corners by making your boxes too small, etc. A properly amplified and installed single HIGH QUALITY sub will blast the dust caps off two mediocre subs in a compromised installation, which is what you have putting 12s under a stock seat in a truck.

I am curently running pioneer's shallow mount 12" sub. The overall height of the sub is I believe 4" and it only requires .8cf of air space. The sub is in a box just laying on my floor, casue I can't fit it under my seat, but that kit would seem to solve my problem. Love the sub!! Excellent solution to limited space.

What kind of sound do you get from the shallow mount subs? I have heard good and bad about them.
