816843 is the assembly line run # for the month of Feb. 1966
The nations truck stop.Don't worry too much about the serial number, ya gots what ya gots. Sounds like you have a nice pickup to start with though.

81 refers to the Cab, 81A = Standard cab, an 81B= Custom Cab,
C= 3 spd Light Duty Column Shift Manual transmission
C2 = 3.73 Rear axle ratio
