Single or dual piston

Hey guys I have a 79 F250 and I was wondering if I have single or dualpiston calipers. If theyre single can I upgrade it to F350 dual piston caliper. Gonna do the brakes next weekend so Im buying all new calipers, discs, and lines. thakns for the help.

I am pretty sure all the 250's had the dual piston calipers.

the truck should have twin piston but there was some LD f-250 trucks made with single piston 99% chance yours has dual piston.

You dont need to put the truck on stands. Just look at the calipers from the opposite side of the truck.You'll be able to tell by looking at it.

I've got a 79 250 4x4, it has the dual piston calipers. If you have a 4wd you'll have'em. They're pretty easy to distinguish due to their massive size.

You definitely want dual if you don't have them already. I read somewhere on here that you need to switch more than calipers to go from dual to single.

you have to swtich to the matching bore master cyl. as well....klikely you have teh dual postons
