Hey everyone I could not get an answer to my question on the Ranger section so maybe I can get some info here. I got a 95 Ranger with a recently rebuilt 4r44e trans and it likes to shift hard, like it has a shift kit installed. I scanned for codes and nothing pertaining to VSS.etc. I read a thread somewhere that you can adjust something or turn something a half turn or so to smooth out the shifts, but for the life of me I cannot remember the post or the part being adjusted. Anyone ever heard of this adjustment or screw or whatever and if so what is it,where is it,etc.? Throttle maybe? Any info would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

the screw on the modulater. pasenger side of tranny take the hose off of it and see if you see trans fluid if you dont its good. there should be a screw adjustment on it i think you would back it out well just play with it and see what happens. the moduatlor senses engine vaccum with is engine load and tells the tranny when to upshift
