I have a 2001 F-250 PSD. I bought the truck last October. I have three leaf springs on the front and have what appears to be extra springs on the rear. The truck was 3 to 4 inches higher than I would like. The truck was used with a snow plow. I believe it has Ford's snow plow package. I do not need the heavy suspention or extra height, can I remove the extra leaf ? My milage was very poor - 8 to 10 MPG. I have installed a Hypertech software and the MPG have gotten better, but nothing like the great diesel mpg I was told about. Is there a factory chip software for the snow plow package ?
