Speedometer broken?
Hey, I have a 93 f-150 with a 4.9 inline 6. Starting about 6 months ago, the speedometer hand started waving wildly between 30 and 70 nonstop when I am going somewhere in that range. It is getting so bad that I can't even tell how fast I am going. I just replaced the sensor for mileage and speed in the rear diff. and it won't stop. If anybody has the same problem or a tip I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

My speedo just started doing that after I finished installing a limited slip rear end. I bunged up the teeth on the tone ring a little, but I was told it was the speedo sensor on the side of the tranny (M5R2) that needed to be replaced. So is it possible that it just went out at the same time or do I need to replace the tone ring? Also, what do you have to do to the PSOM to correct this problem?
