I currently have a stock 72 F250 with a 390/C6. I had intended to replace the 390 FE with a efi 300 inline six with a C6. However, someone just offered me a 400/C6 I know is in good shape.
My 390 is scrap (seized) and I was going with the 300 just because I had it around. The 400 would work just as well.
It is a nice truck and I want to use it as an occasional work horse - speed/power/fuel mileage are not so important, other than I want them to be reasonable.
My question is about the motor mounts - how different are they? Will the stock 390 mounts work, or will the 400 mounts from a later truck bolt to my frame?
I did a search on motor mounts but that did not yeild anything on point.
