I recently bought a '69 Ford F-250 4x4. Its in reasonably good shape and runs pretty good. I sure was suprised at how well it does. I'm looking to restore it and I am wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction of a factory exhaust system. Also any help on craking the vin codes would be very welcome. This is my first Ford and am pretty baffled as to why I haven't owned one before now. Its a great truck.
Welcome newbie! If you have a V8, I suggest a set of dual exhaust pipes with a balance tube and some nice Flow Master mufflers. Restorations are hugely expensive! The rules say it will cost three times more than you planned and take twice as long. We do it anyway. For now drive hell out of it, fix whatever needs fixing, and don't hack things (dash/radio/speakers, sun roof, floor shifter).

Welcome Scott! You have found the perfect place to get any and all information about your truck. There are not too many 67-72 F250 4x4's around so its up to us to keep them going! I would have to agree with the previous post about going with the dual exhausts on these trucks. As soon as I get the chance I will change mine from single to dual. Right now I have bigger things to worry about (My motor has to go back in the truck), but it will be high on the list of priorities when its back up and running. Good luck with your new purchase! I hope that it brings many years of enjoyment to you.
