Man I need help - BIG TIME
Anybody know where I can get a Catalytic Converter for an 02 E450, looks like part number 5E212. The dealer wants like $1,200
I have been searhing for three days for a univerasal, but no luck.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, it owuld be appreciated.
I just bought the motorhome and the guy before me took it off, and now it won't pass California emmisions to regiter it.https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/n...ewthread&f=49#

Captain Chalie, Great call. I had gone to their site prior, but no luck, the trick was as you indicated "just call them" I did and yep, price was 803.38 - ya buddy!!!!

Why am I paying for this? Actually it will cheaper to pay for it thanget into a battle with the private seller, who I'm sure will tell me to pound salt, then I'll get Pi$$ed off and sue him the the sheister lawyers will cost m emega bucks, and the time and energy will wipe out my whol esummer, etc, etc. etc.
Would I love to call the guy up and say "can you send me a grand to pay for this", and him say "sure give me you adress" - I think the the lovely people in the middle east will kiss and makup before that happens.
Sometimes it's just easier to swollow hard and move on.

Thanks for the props guys, The only problem with these parts are there large and heavy and UPS charges big bucks for stuff like this. We dont try and make money on freight, we just try and not lose money on shipping. But if you are in So Cal I have a few friends down there I can still hook you up so you dont have to pay shipping.

ed is unreal. with mine he found the part 1,2,3 gave me a price, just shipping that 6 foot long beast of iron to new jersey . would not go to well . i went to the dealer i purschased from and said heres the number and heres what i was told for a price , he matched and i have it today.
now we just need to get the locals and near to ed to buy big and heavy. nothing beats factory on anything
