Hey guys I am not all that good at body rust. But my floor pans are rusted out pretty bad but mainly on the outer side. Next to the tranny hump it isnt rusted through but by the door and up the seat arch it is rusted all the way though. Will floor pans cover those areas? I have never bought floor pans nor put any in. But I am not the type person who I like others working on my truck I will do and redo untill I can do it myself. So any help that you guys could give I would appreicate.
Try Carolina Classics truck parts. Some places have diferant sizes of patch panels so you might have to check with a few others as well like Macs, Blue Oval,LMC.
any luck yet? I just received my panels from blueoval, they had only $14 shipping for both panels ($39.99 each). I am trying to decide what to do with mine too, as I dont have access to a welder. I am considering cutting out old rusty section, using a heavy rust converter, riveting the new ones in, then using a seam sealer, and primer to top. Of course I will have carpet etc on top, so looks dont matter.
Na I havent bought any pans yet. actually I got another cab so I am thinking about just cutting out the floor in it and laying it over mine too. Dont know yet what I am going to use to stop the rust. I was told I could just pop rivet but I really want to weld it in so I am just trying to plan everything out still. I am switching my body to another frame and when I get time to do it and the weather turns nice thats when I am going to try to fix my floor. Also money is a big thing for me too tight budget means lots of time to do something.
