Brake troubles
I was working on my truck today routing the new brake line and when I got some help to bleed the brakes we could not get the fluid to come out of the brake bleeder screw hole any suggestions
Steve
P.S. When I hooked it up I bypassed the brake modulator thingy would that have anything to do with it.

Brake troubles
I would guess one of three things, #3 most likely:
1) The wheel cyl. is so old and broken that the inside is stuffed full of congealed brake fluid and rust that is preventing it from coming out of the bleeder.
2) Major piece of rust/metal caught inside of bleeder screw.
3) Badly rusted bleeder screw, where it is rusted solid inside the wheel cyl. You are actually twisting the top of the screw while the bottom stays in place. If you take it off the truck, put it in a vise, apply WD-40, and work it slowly back and forth, you might free it and can then insert a new bleeder screw. I have had roughly a 50/50 success rate doing this off the truck. None with it on the truck.
