Transmission Flow

To make a long story short, I have to much fluid in my transmission and need to get some out. I am going to jack up the back of the truck allowing the wheels to freewheel, then I will be able to put tranny in drive. I want to disconnect one of the hoses that goes to my auxiliary cooler (on a 4 spd auto) trans. I need to know how the transmission fluid flows through the rad house, from the top to bottom or vice versa.

If anyone knows, it would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Typically in at the top and out the bottom at the side tank of the radiator. You can keep the truck on the ground and keep the transmission in park/parking brake on and with the engine running. It will take less than a minute to pump out a pint. This is how you would do a complete ATF flush. Just watch how much you keep the engine running. Go for 30 second intervals.
