Spring Time
Some 40,000+ carefree miles ago, I installed "Spring Lox" ($3.99) under the back end of my '96 AWD to bring up the sag. They work great and have performed flawlessly, and I am satisfied. However, I'll be towing a small trailer in a few weeks and the wife has agreed that I need to take care of any "safety issues" before the trip.
Safer or not, I can now spring for new rear springs. (Last weekend, I put Monroe Sensitrack shocks all the way around with the wife's approval)
Rear coils seem readily available at Advance, Autozone, etc., but I don't want to put new OE springs on, only to have them begin to sag in a few years (I guess I should hang on to the Spring Lox).
Is there a better spring, or a cargo spring that will work better and last longer? Also, they look to be about $75 each, is there a better price to be had from a different supplier?
