48 information
Hi everyone, I've been a pre-powerstroke follower for some time now. I have just aquired my grandfathers 1948 F-68. He bought it new after the war as a farm truck when they were hard to come by. My Dad drove it, I learned to drive it, and its been sitting on the farm for 25 years. Where can I find more info on this model of FORD, how may built etc. I plan to do a complete restoration on this truck.
Its a Canadian Ford, equal to the F3. The 68 represents 6800 GVW. They used that designation 48-50.

Welcome to the board!
Any chance of you posting some pics for us? We just love to check out what the othe guy is doing.
Its pretty cool to have so much family history tied into the truck. Are you going to do the restoration route or are you going to upgrade parts of it?
Good luck with it,
Bobby

I plan on doing the restoration route. I will add some pics to my gallery ASAP.
PS. This truck was used as a prop on the Superman movie set as well as on a Toyota truck comercial set in rural Alberta.
