One of my door switches has been sticking and the dome & door ajar light is staying on.
Where are the switches at on an extended cab 99 F250? I already sprayed some oil in all the latches on both the main doors and the rear doors, I'm not sure its fixed yet, and its driving me nuts.
Common problem with simple fix. Spray some WD40 into the latching mech. on the doors affected. Work the latch a few times and that will do it. Switch is mounted on the latch itself. Dirt and grim causes the to stick. WD40 will clean and lube it. Fixed mine almost 2yrs ago and still no problem.
My bad, I must of had a brain fart. It is the latch on the front door. switch is mounted to it. The latch rotates closed when it strikes the back door, thus releasing the switch when not stuck. Just spray the black latching mech mounted on the inside of the door giving the problem. Sorry for the confusion.
