Hello There. I noticed this thread with old dates. I have an 09 F150 w/ 5.4 4x4 with plow package. it does not have a limited slip Diff and am looking to add one. This winter I did get stuck few times plowing. Does anyone recommend any shops in the Boston/Eastern Mass that can handle such a task?
Is it feasible/practical to do it ?
and any recommendation on what kind of lsd to install ?

wings. welcome to the site.
I don't know of any place in the boston area to get done what your looking for. I do know of a place in Plastow NH. It's right over the border from Haverhill. Maybe post this question in the Mass chapter as someone there should easily lead you in the correct direction.
As for getting stuck when plowing. I have a older Toyta 4x4 (before "Tacoma" was dubed to the truck) and many time I had 3 wheels spinning on the ice. This year after the first 2 storms I got stuck at least once every storm. Sometimes I stuffed it good into snow piles. It's always fun when the plow gets hung up in the snow pile.
