will these heads work??

I have an 86 f150 with a 351w HO. the emmisions on it were a nightmare I stripped all of it off even some weird plate under the carb and the truck runs alot better. I have an efi 302 sitting around will the heads fit on the 351??? will it raise the compression ratio????? will this ultimately give me more power??? Its a mud truck with a c6, 8" lift with 37" tires and 9" rear with 5.13:1 gears.

I was thinking of taking block filler and filling the up the emmisions port/duct/injection/thingy inside the head then trying my hand at a home job port and polish. Think it will work????

Let me know what'cha think.

if your talking about the holes on the back of the 302 heads there are threaded plugs to fill those. those heads are also E7's but unsure if they would be an improvement over what you already have. if you can locate some gt40 heads off of a lightning motor those would be a better upgrade. do a search on the web there is a lot on porting with good pics. some afr 185's would be the best head to go with and really make that motor scream

more compression

they shouldn't be e7's they are out of an 85 efi engine. I just thought that the chamber would be smaller and up the compression a little? i know that there are plugs but won't there still be a little hole near the exaust port? I thought the block filler would fill that in andgive me something in that hole to help the air move better.

i thought a new 302 is why i said e7's. help us by being specifc as possible. a ford book might give you the chamber size but ford seemed to use the same casting on both motors. do a search on line and see what other guys are doing with those style heads. or talk to your local machine shop. most those guys like to bs about that sort of thing

Also GT40P heads from a late model 5.0 explorer wold work, but I have heard that the 302 uses smaller headbolts than the 351, so you would need to machine the heads.
