Keypad Keyless Entry

Hi,

I tried searching, but could not find the exact answer I was looking for. Where could I find the code for the keypad? I know on my Crown Victoria it is printed on a sticker in the trunk. I appreciate your answers

It should take you to a thread titled "Keyless Entry Code for 2005 Excursion." It talks a lot about finding the codes on several years. It looks to me that you and I are out of luck and that they don't print the codes anywhere on the 2000 or 2001 Xs. We have to have the dealer pull it from the computer. Some dealers charge labor time for this, others don't. I get this just from reading the other thread though so I can't say for sure if it's true. Hope it helps.....

Thanks for the link. I guess in the long run it's probably easiest to take it to the dealer.

okay, I have looked everywhere the link has said and I still can not find it. I have a 2001. Anyone have anything else or is it a trip to the dealer for me.

definately a trip to the dealer. they are NOT printed anywhere on the 01's...did you buy it used. if so, the dealer will pull the factory code and there will probably be another code in there too. i think you can have a couple codes that will always be able to work. i know mine has the factory and the previous owners code in ther right now. 99% of the dealers will not charge you. it takes about 2 minutes to retrieve it.
