The "tow package"

My truck has this which I think is a good feature. All you need is the hitch and you're good to go.

I was wondering if there's a little extra "rake" to the trucks with the tow pkg. because my **** is really high?

As I've said, I'm getting used to the high ****, but it does have a wicked big rake to it!

if your truck is does not have the hitch from factory then you don't have the tow package.

Trailer tow package (listed on new window sticker) does not add bed hight! It only adds the larger trans cooler, class three hitch, trailer brake controler wiring package, And I believe it also includes a heavy duty battery, and higher output alternator.

It is a three fold design. It improves aerodynamic effeciency. It is also there to allow for a level truck when loaded. The final result is due to crash testing. There are many regulations on the books that have brought the front end down on trucks and SUVs in the recent years to help with collision safety with smaller cars.

I didn't like the rake my 06 Screw had to it from front to back, so I bought a set of levelers from EZ Lift to lift the front end a bit, about 1 1/2". The kit went in in about 2 hours and now we set perfectly level. Looks great. I have the factory tow package and Fomoco is right on what is included. I have not hooked my trailer up yet to see what the tail drop will be, if any. But my plan is to add airbags to the back to level what the distribution bars can not pick up. I have about 900 lbs of tongue weight, so it will be a good experiment. But I prefer the level look over the rake look.

Interesting. I thought they all had 3 inch springs.

I should post a pic of my truck (if I can find someone with a digital camera) so you guys can see how high the **** sits.

Maybe it just seems that way to me but it looks like it has a little "extra rake" to it.

I wonder if certain colors (Darkstone in my case) could make it appear that way? I know a guy just down the road from me who has an XLT (silver) and his sits more level than mine does. Optical illusion??
