Transmission question

I got this transmission when I purchased a 215 OHV 6 engine recently. The engine and the transmission came out of a '53 Ford Crestline wagon. It's not an overdrive transmission from I could tell. It is a 3-on-a-tree. It was a running transmission when pulled about a year ago.

I'd like to know if this transmission is interchangeable in 48-53 trucks. If not, then is it interchangeable in any other years??

I have pictures of all the casting numbers that I could find on the transmission.

I would think it should fit into the trucks, if you shorten the driveshaft. Didn't the 3-speed heavy duty trannies have a tailshaft like that?

it fits cars 49 and up.not trucks.

input shaft lenght and diameter are different, won't work in the truck
