Ford 9

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 02-Nov-02 AT 05:51 PM (EST)]Some Jeep people I know insist that Ford sometimes put their 9" in front axles on F100 or F150 4x4’s from 1968 to 1979. I say no way. Can anyone settle this?

I can't say with confidence. But, I don't believe I've ever heard of a 9" up front. Ford's usually have a dana 44 or 60 for the heavy duty F250s and up.
