NP435 Questions

NP435 Questions
I have an np435 I got off a truck without a driveshaft and speedocable, I called a few places to find the yoke, I have a driveshaft but the yoke is big on the 435 and I am having problems finding one cause its discontinued. The donor truck also didnt have a drive shaft or the yoke, so where do I go about finding one? Also I need to find the speed o cable I dont know how many teeth I need on it anyone have advice or help please? i need to know kinda fast I need to get it in this coming weekend. Thanks guys

so your trying to get a yoke to hook your 435 up to your current driveshaft...sounds like maybe the 435 has a 1330 yoke and your current shaft has 1310's, you can get conversion u-joints, but we need to know
take measurements of the caps and the diameter of your current joints, and the diameter of the yoke on the 435
what truck did the 435 come out of and what truck are oyu putting it in?

Its a 1976 ford f-100 with a 300 that I am trying to put in it. Right now it has a 3 speed column shifter so hat ever size those are. I am installing the 435 which came out of an unknown vehicle, becuase the one we got it out of was not origional out of that truck, but it was a 1980 f-100 truck with a 300. See the yoke where it slips into the tail shaft is bigger than the one currently, I have the right size driveshaft but the tailshaft is thicker diameter. I m not sure on the exact diameter of the 435 though.

The shaft on the np 435 transmission is bigger in diameter than the 3 speed thats currently in it so I cant use the current yoke I have, I need one with a bigger diameter hole, which would probably make the whole thing bigger wouldnt it? Sorry if I am not making sense. Im going from a 3 speed column to a np435. I am on the phone with Ford and letting them get one for me for $70.00 and right now he is trying to find a speed o cable, Would I be able to use everything from my current speedocable except for the end gear and housing, correct?

The only thing I know is that the ford trannys like the top loader could come with a 31 spline out put shaft or a 28 spline. Is this what you're reffering too?

Well your right the 3 speed has a 28 spline and the NP435 has 31 splines. So all I need is to find a yoke with 31 splines?
