Post Pertronixs

I have a pickup with an FE 360 and I converted the stock distributor magnetic from Pertronixs. I hve trouble starting it, like it's not getting any spark. I was thinking that it might be the spark plug gap or the gap between the magnet and the pickup in the distributor. If anybody knows what the optimal spark plug gap or the ignition timing that would be great.
Thanks

Check the voltage going to the pertronix unit. They don't function well below 12 volts. If it's installed in parallel with the original ignition wire (which could be a resistor wire) the voltage may be to low to make it operate properly.

Make sure you put the ground jumper from the dist. base to the points mounting plate.
