intake gasket

so I have a 1999 expy that didnt pass smog, the repair shop is quoting me $730 to replace it, I went online and the part is only $70 is there really that much labor involved?

any info would be appriciated..

according to the paperwork it was lean fuel..

That could be something as simple as a dirty MAF sensor, or a faulty O2 sensor. It sounds to me like your mechanic is looking to make a quick buck or 700.
