Any good books?

I have a '54 f100 that I am working on with a 390. I have three sets of heads to choose from, c7ae-a, c6ae-r, and d2te-aa. I think I'm going to use the d2's since they allready have hardened seats. Anyone know of a good porting book. I have done some work on a set of 302 heads before. Just looking to do the basics.

One of the companies that sells supplies for this has some decent info on their website...unfortunately I'm having trouble remembering the name right now....try searching the internet. If I remember or find the info. I'll pop it back in here.

Here's a real good tutorial. I got the original reference right here, I think.

The sa site is a good one just remember they want to sell stuff too. I say that cause they suggest port matching the intake which is not a good idea. The only time you should need to open up the intake side is if the intake manifold ports are larger than the heads. Then you have to open the head to allow flow smoothly into it, otherwise there is a step which is not good. There is also an article referenced in the 335 forum called 'Port or Abort' by David Vizard. It is very good but unfortunately I can't find a link for it.
