I realize this topic has been discussed as I have found prior threads. I found that most people are just covering them. Im interested in replacing it with oem fitting pad. I found the best price at jeffs bronco graveyard for $229. Has anyone bought a dashpad from there and if so, how did it fit? They claim its an exact fit.
They also sell refurbs and new parts. I bought some new door panels bcause they were the lowest price, but now I'm wishing I would have went for higher quality. They are very thin and fittment isn't as clean and the blue color was a bit off. My truck is a budget build , so it's not as critical. I got the cheap-o's that have a moulded in arm rest.
I did also buy a dash cover from them and it fit fine though the color was off on it too. The stock metallic blue color is a hard match on my truck. i managed to whack my eye with a bungee cord installing it, even though it was suggested in the directions. If you use the dash cover, use some weighted objects to hold it down. Not only did the bungee cord take my eye out for a few days, it also left permanant marks on the dash pad.
I have replaced a dash pad before and it was a royal pain to reach all the little push nuts under the dash. The pushnuts were not as painful as the bungee cord, though.
