4x4 Problems
Has anyone else had problems with the vacuum actuated front wheel hubs. Not the hubs itself, but the device that controls the vacuum to the hubs that determine whether or not they are engaged. Oh by the way the truck is an 05 king ranch with the 5.4L.

It was fixed, it was the vacuum actuator that supplies the vacuum to the outer front wheel hubs that connect the front wheels to the axle shafts. When there is no vacuum the hubs are engaged, and when there is vacuum the hubs are disingaged. The problem was that the hub where always getting vacuum so there was no 4x4 unless the vacuum lines where unhooked that went to the hubs. I was just wondering if this is a fairly common problem or not?

Mine left on the beach at hatteras over the recent 4th holiday. Same problem, hubs would not lock. It's going to the dealer this week.
Does anyone make a kit to to put the good old fashioned locking hubs in these critters. I know this is a completely different set-up so I don't know if that is even an option.
