Correct speedo gear

Was wondering if anyone had an idea what speedo gear I need.
I have 33in tires with 4.10 gears. Tranny is a E40D. If someone has a website they could post for this topic it would be appreciated
Doug

Truck is a 91 f 150 w/ 351 ext cab

no gear.... your speedometer is programmable.
Theres an aricle in the articles/specs above (in the bar that has HOME, FORUMS, GALLERIES...) that will tell you all you need. Post back if you can't find it.

Just do a search for PSOM.The gears don't matter the tires do.There is a wire under the glove compartment that has to be grounded and then you use the odometer button to change it,I just don't remember how.I think the number for 33's is 8.25.You'll have to make sure first since it can only be changed 6 times.I think the bronco forum could help.

For the 91 you'll have to change the speedometer driven gear on the transmission end of the speedo cable.

You are right on, the 87-91 did not have a PSOM.

The gears are only listed in charts in the parts books.
I just looked up a 1991 with a 4.10 and in the chart they do not list a E40D but I think the E4OD is just a C6 with electronics added along with some updated parts.

That said, the largest they go with a 4.10 with a C6 is a tire size of 9.50x16.5E.

So if you can find a stock tire size outside diameter that is the same as your 33in then I can give you a part number.

Does a 33/12.50-15 and a 235/75-15 have the same circumference?

Also they do not list metric tire sizes for a truck with a 4.10 rear end.

EDIT:
After looking at the charts again Ford does not list a 15" tire with a 4.10 rear end after 1990 in the charts. They are all 16 or 16.5" tires.

I dont think rim size will affect the outer diameter of the tire?
33's id say are around a 285/75 but i could be wrong on both

As a wild guess I would start with a 20 tooth Orange gear, C8SZ-17271-B.
Do you know what you have in there now and is it fast or slow.
The Orange one is for a 4.10, 33 inch Diameter and a drive gear of 8 teeth.
You may have to pull off the tail shaft and count the drive gear teeth or step up or down from the Orange gear.
