I have a 1969 F250 Ranger with a dana 60 rearend.
I am having trouble with finding a lock washer for it.
NAPA and Auto Zone tell me that its a dealer item, so I
go to my local ford dealer and they cant find it in the
microfish...LOL does anyone know what the ford part #
is for this??? maybe if they had that they could find it.
OHh and by the way they have the plate # off the axle and
still cant find it....LOL
are you looking for the lock washer on the end of the axle housing that locks the two nuts for the wheel bearings? i have not had much luck finding original washers lately as they have been superceded by a replacement nut and wedge assembly. go to a napa store with one of your nuts in hand (LOL, sorry but it sounds sick!) and tell them it is a 3/4 ton axle nut and you want the replacement style. they are actually better and easier to use. go figure, some newfangled part that is better than the old one! hawkrod
