My old ford has a typical bench seat and I want bucket seats. That would be not a problem for me but I thought that it would be interesting to have two air ride seats just like a semi would have. My question is this do you guys think that it will fit or would I be riding so high that I can't reach the pedals. (I am only 5'8")
I was considering putting air-ride seats in my '88 but since its for sale I changed my mind to putting them into the '71 F-250 4x4 I just bought. I saw a semi junk yard the other day while I was picking up this truck and it rekindled my thinking. Hmmmmmm one of us will figure something out.

Air ride seats are pedestal mounted and you generally need four to five feet of floor to roof space. Even in a truck such as a International DT466 (example) you can still hit your head on the roof of the truck if the seat is not adjusted right and not tied down with limit straps. The worse thing is when the "air" part fails. It is like driving on an axle puller with all the slamming.
They are "okay" in a tractor because of the heavy vibration, but, the biggest advantage over a regular seat (imo) is the adjustment up and down via air, not the comfort.
Make sure you get a seat that will not leak down, having to adjust one "just right" ever time you get in the truck after it has been shut off is a pain.
