I was on FTE this morning, go figure, and I had the TV tuned to Spike. I just happenned to look over when they were talking about sled pulling diesels. I know mech/Kevin does this type of thing so I watched the piece. Holy S#%t. I could never do that to my truck. He must have a set of cajones or an expense account that I will never have. I mean those trucks were huffing, and doing a lot of breaking. Now they were mostly Cummins Dodges, go figure, but those 360s I believe they are were making some ponies. Matter of fact, I didn't see anything but Dodges. That sucks. Wish I could help you out financially Kevin. Good luck and put in a good show for us.

No denying the Cummins is an awesome motor and with the right mods it's tough
to top.
Yea I have a DVD of last year's "Thunder in Muncy" - or whatever it is called now. Prolly 80% Dodges - freakin awesome - but like you said - there is no way I have the nads to hook my truck
im waiting for more pics! a video would be sweet. just editing myspace, and im going to put Psychostroker pulling away from the line as the background.
the Beast will turn into a pulling truck one day once i get another daily driver.
I gotta be honest here. I often wondered why anybody would pull a sled. They do have tractor pulls here. I guess I just had to see it. I couldn't do it with my truck, but it's quite a show. I'm looking forward to the video too. Something without a Dodge in it.
Hey Kevin, was just lookin in your gallery. Question, you don't drive the truck to those pulls do you? I mean, should something happen, surely you have that covered. Just wondering how extensive this hobby or operation of yours is.
I do drive it every day. If the pull is more than a couple hours away we tow it. Towed to Summitville IN last year the tow rig (D-Max) blew an intercooler boot on his last hook and I bent my hitch. We duct taped the intercooler boot to drive that truck back and I pulled the empty trailor back.
Yeah it's amazing how much pulling a sled works a truck over watch the cab to bed alignment sometime those frames are twisting up pretty good. I don't know the exact numbers but that sled puts a whole lotta down force on the back of the truck for sure.
I would like to see your truck in a vid too.
Just found out that they have a pull last year and are doing it this year at the county fair so I am planning on taking my F250 up and seeing how I do with it, but since it's only about a mile from my house even if I break I can always come home and grab the trailer and Expy to tow it home that far.
are your pulls sactioned or are they county fair type deals?
sounds like fun, I should tow my truck to a pull with my pulling tractor bet I'd get a look for that.
Are you going to the National DHRA events? I'm planning on going to the one on 07/29 at the Gasconade County Fairgrounds in Rosebud, MO. Of course, I will only be watching. But, if you're there, I'd be sure to stop by to say hi.
