Haunted Keyless Remote System
Help. I have a 1997 F150 that has a keyless remote entry problem. It's very erratic. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it just bounces the lock buttons up and down and I hear it cycling. I can quell the cycling by pressing and holding the rocker switch in the unlock position for several seconds, but there's no accounting for what position this leaves the lock buttons in-- up, down, or somewhere in between. When I'm forced to use the key to get in the driver side door, I have to move quickly to open the door, as the button will go back down of its own accord. Sometimes the remote works perfectly, but that's not often.
My 1997 F150 is a 4x2 supercab Lariat flareside, 4.6 V8.
