towing package

what all is with the towing package? i was told i had it but the wiring at the back for a trailer only has 4 pins? thanks Keith

I'm not real sure, but I think it's the trailer wiring sans the brake controller until you get up to the 2005 model year. Maybe a bigger transmission cooler as well for the gassers?

If I'm not mistaken the package is also a change in the rear springs....

My 2002 came with the 4-pin, and the 7-pin connectors stock - but I kinda think the early Superduties didn't have that.

Mine also had the wiring, and a pig-tail in the glove box, to hook up the brake controller under the dash - no wire splicing was needed.

My 2000 has the 4 pin in the rear as well. The kit that came with my truck as the towing package contained 2 relays and 2 30amp fuses that can be used to hook up either a 6 or 7 pin connector. All of my wiring is there just need to be hooked up. It also came with the connector to hook up under the dash for a brake controller.
